Tore Andersen has passed

It is with great sadness that we must announce that Tore died suddenly and unexpectedly on December 26, 2015, 55 years old. He was on his way home from a family dinner when his heart stopped. Both ambulance and medical helicopter came quickly to to the scene, but his life could not be saved. The family is in mourning over his passing, but it is a consolation that Tore's music will live on. Our thoughts go to his survivors.

Tore wins prestigious “Spellemann” award

It came as a big surprise for Tore, that his 2009 album “Right around the corner” on March 6, 2010, was awarded the prestigious ”Spellemann” award as the best country album in Norway in 2009.

The “Spellemann” award has from its first presentation in 1973 had the status of Norway's foremost music award. The price has since been awarded annually to artists and authors who have distinguished themselves, and made prominent contributions to the Norwegian music scene during the past year. The aim of the Norwegian “Spellemann” award is to honour, inspire and motivate all musicians, and to strengthen the solidarity within the music community across all genres. The presentation of the awards is made during a star-studded show, which presents a selection of the great diversity that exists in Norwegian music.

Tore's album “Right around the corner” was released early 2009 to much acclaim.

Tore performs in Nashville

As the only Scandinavian artist, Tore will perform at the annual "AristoMedia Global Showcase" concert in Nashville 9 June. This concert is a part of the "CMA Music Festival 2009", and it is a cooperation between the Country Music Association (CMA) and AristoMedia. Tore will perform with a selection of hand picked artists from France, England, Switzerland, Australia and Canada.

The event is hosted by Robert Reynolds, former bassist in The Mavericks.

The music festival in Nashville also includes the "CMA Global Artist Party" taking place on 8 June.

"Both of these events are certainly a highlight for the global Country Music community each year," says AristoMedia President Jeff Walker. "Music City is regarded as the heart of Country Music and the CMA Music Festival is one of the best live events in the world. The chance for these artists to travel and perform here is not only an exciting opportunity for the artists, but for the city of Nashville and the entire international Country Music movement as well."
